Adelais en Ciel Rev. 1 uses the ws2812 Led driver, which is supported by QMK RGB Matrix, but not currently by VIA. That is why as you click on “LIGHTING” on VIA’s main menu when the Adelais en Ciel is connected, it will lead to a blank screen and the program will have to be restarted (this restarting issue has been fixed).
We were well aware of that shortcoming, and went on using the new is31fl3731 Led driver, which is supported by both QMK RGB Matrix and VIA, on the Adelais en Ciel Rev. 2 PCB. This is overall a much improved implementation of the function. Nevertheless, at the time of the Rev. 2 release, the programming of the RGB backlight has not been “natively” supported by VIA yet, in the sense that when you click on VIA’s LIGHTING tab, only the configuration options for the RGB underglow are shown, and there are no direct controls for RGB backlight. Instead, it will need to be done via keymapping as follows:
FOR ADELAIS EN CIEL REV. 1
On VIA, go to the “QMK LIGHTING” tab and map the LED control function keys to your liking.
FOR ADELAIS EN CIEL REV. 2
On VIA, Go to the “SPECIAL” tab
Map the F13 to F22 keys to your liking
F13: Toggle RGB blacklight on/off
F14: Change RGB backlight effect
F15: Increase LED effect speed
F16: Decrease LED effect speed
F17: Increase HUE (only works with mono LED effects)
F18: Decrease HUE (only works with mono LED effects)
F19: Increase LED colour saturation
F20: Decrease LED colour saturation
F21: Increase brightness
F22: Decrease brightness
